Hi all!
Please check out my Eternal Sailor Project @ www.facebook.com/LilithOya
I've been working on a full set of Eternal Sailor Moon costumes, however, our Sailor Uranus, may not be able to participate. She's a nursing student and her summer clinical may interfere. Because AnimeNext is so close and I'm freaking out, I want to be prepared if she comes to me this week and confirms that she must drop out.
We are participating in the masquerade and will be spending all of Saturday the 9th together for check-in, rehearsal, and a photoshoot with our official project photographer. So pretty much, don't plan to go to any events or panels. You're stuck with us the whole day! XD This is a dance skit, so you must be prepared and able to move. Potential replacements must be available every other Saturday for rehearsals, plus a little extra on either nights or weekends to catch up with the rest of the group. We want this to be a successful dance skit, so everyone has been putting in a lot of hours to learning the routine. Rehearsals take place in Staten Island, NY so you must live in the tri-state area and be willing to travel. While I cannot reimburse anyone for traveling to my home, I do provide food! Usually pizza, drinks, tea, coffee, snacks.
You will not be required to make your costume...I have been making all of them myself. However, you will be required to supply the funds and purchase your convention ticket. It is $100 for the supplies, this includes Sailor Uranus' sword. Most of the supplies have already been purchased, so really your money is going to reimburse our former member. This does not include a wig or boots (I will link to the specific boots we have all been purchasing). I also require shape wear to be purchased so that the bodysuit looks smooth and does not appear see through (white lycra and spandex is notorious for that, ew!).
Please message me asap if you are interested! Provide a link to your cosplay.com gallery, facebook (granted that you have pictures that are available for public view), or deviant art page. Because all the girls have been working so hard on this, this project is just as much about them as it is me. I will be giving the whole group the final say as to who joins us on this. I want them to be comfortable too.
I promise a lot of fun during these rehearsals! We're a bunch of geeks that are surprisingly like the Soldiers we are portraying. Some of us are cosplay vets and some are newbies. Where ever you fit into that spectrum is just fine! We really want to make this a memorable experience.
